WE ARE A 501(c)(3) AGENCY, AND HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP US CONTINUE OUR WORK:

Here are some easy suggestions to help us that will benefit you, our community and Health Information Network.

Volunteer your time as our office operates entirely with volunteers who help us with computer tasks, answering phones, providing health care referrals, assisting with preparation of our course materials and bulk mailings. Others volunteer by giving in-kind services (accounting, legal assistance, etc.), or providing office equipment (books, magazine subscriptions, computer equipment), enabling us to utilize our financial donations more effectively for our outreach purposes.

Contribute a one-time cash donation by check, or pledge to pay at some time in the future, or with payments extended over the next year;

    Contribute through payroll deduction at your workplace through the following:
  • Designate your United Way deduction to the Health Information Network. Even though the Network is not a United Way agency, this is possible through their positive option program.
  • Designate your gift to the Health Information Network through the Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound if you are a Boeing employee.
  • Some employers will match your gift; ask if your employer provides this. Boeing and Microsoft are two companies that will generously match employee pledges, and this makes a huge difference!
  • If you are a City of Seattle, King County, other Washington State city or county employee, Washington State, or Federal employee, you can designate your workplace gift to us through our DBA, AIDS/STD Resources Network. City or county employees outside of Seattle/King County can designate Health Information Network because we provide our services to residents of counties in addition to King County in Washington State. Find us in your workplace combined campaign booklet under Local Independent Charities’ Health Care & Medical Research Alliance. We have been certified by Independent Charities of America as one of the “Best in America” charities.

Donate company stock options to the Network; when exercised, stockholder receives a tax deduction.

Give a non-cash gift of securities, real estate, or other valuables. Consult your financial advisor for possible tax advantages.

Do you sell real estate? Consider a pledge to donate a percentage of your commissions for a defined time period.

Share your estate with Health Information Network by including the Network as a beneficiary in your will.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have in regard to these giving options, or our work at Health Information Network. Your support is sincerely appreciated, and a list of our donors/contributors is available upon request.
